Labor Day Recipe – Homemade Fruit Centerpiece
What’s needed for this Labor Day Recipe?
Fresh fruit selection (pineapple, cantaloupe, peaches, strawberries)
Large Decorative bowl
3-skewers (12-inches in length)
3- flower stems (rose, daisy, tiger lily)
1 glass (6-8-inches)
Among simple Labor Day recipes, the fruit centerpiece is the
easiest dessert or side dish to create.
Take a fresh pineapple, cantaloupe, peaches, strawberries and other fresh fruit, and cut into quarter sized bites.
Spear the fruit onto the skewers, leaving three inches on the bottom. Next, arrange the fruit with the fresh picked flowers in the glass.
Set the glass of fruit and flowers in the center of the decorative bowl. Next. fill in the bowl with the fresh-cut fruit ingredients. For color and additional nutritional value add blueberries to the fruit centerpiece.
Refrigerate until guests arrive. Then place the fruit centerpiece in a high traffic area. (The goal is to consume the fruit before oxidation sets in.
Then in the center of the bowl, add a tall glass with the fresh flowers arranged with the skewered fruit.
Next, spoon in the cubed fruit into the bowl. Make sure the glass holding the flowers is centered.

Berry Drunken Brownies
Another easy Labor Day recipe involves a box of brownie mix and fresh fruit.
1-Box of brownie mix along with its ingredients
8-oz of whipped cream
4 cups of fresh berries strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
2 table spoons of sugar
4 tablespoons of an orange liqueur
Slice strawberries. Then, mix all fruit together with the sugar and orange liqueur in a bowl. Let stand
for five minutes.
Cut brownies into 1.5 inch squares square, then add a generous smattering of whipped cream and top with the marinaded fruit
